Have you guys seen parallels in the way women and bottoms are treated by the narrative? Or just tropes in general that are specifically only given to women and bottoms. I've been wondering how relationships centered around men in stories are treated by the authors
I've noticed that too, a lot of shoujo has misogynistic undertones, and it's honestly made it harder for me to enjoy the genre. So many female protagonists are written as damsels in distress who constantly need to be rescued, or their entire personality revolves around chasing a mediocre guy who barely treats them well. It feels like the story expe...... reply
