I fucking hate lisp

Servax Servax 2026-07-27 09:14:59 About question
I deadass cant stand the way I cannot pronounce s or z, two guys from my class always mocked me for it ever since last year. Whenever they noticed me, theyd come up to me just so that they could make fun of me for it, and yet they had the audacity to ask why I cant pronounce it like theyre concern?? as if I havent told them many times already. I also recently told the teacher about them but they werent apologetic at all, sure they stopped but at the same time I can still see them laughing at me whenever im upfront speaking. As much as I try to ignore like how ive been doing it for the past year, I just genuinely hope for the worst to happen at them.

I dont get how my classmates could still all be happy towards them despite their awful attitude, like sure they could make jokes but is ignoring their actions just so this class could bond w eachother that important without owning up w their faults?

as long as you feel ashamed of your lisp, someone's gonna make fun of you. this is the harsh truth. you need to own it, start viewing it as cute or likeable, start being proud of who you are exactly how you are. no one can make fun if you unless you are the first to be ashamed of what they are trying to make fun of. so instead of wishing them dead, redirect that energy into becoming a version of you that's kinder to themself

I wasnt ashamed at the very beginning, I always responded positively and thought of it as teasing in the beginning

So they bullied you back then, but you weren’t ashamed of it at first. Then their words started getting to you, and now you hate it?

That tells me that either the bullying has become harsher, or you’ve slowly stopped protecting yourself from what they’re saying and started believing it. Or both.
