Does any1 have a hard time reading a novel?
I really want to read a novel, but I don't know why I get distracted so easily, even though the story is interesting. I always do that. Is there a way to prevent this from happening? I have a lot of novel recommendations from my friends, but I can't read them because of this.
*I have dyslexia, but it only flares up when I'm too tired, and I read novels when I have free time(or when im not tired) ╥﹏╥
its prob just a short attention span problem. when I start to feel like that I like to listen to classical music in the background while I'm reading. also reading a physical book definitely helps you get in the zone as well 1 reply
Sameeee i genuinely can't read more at one point whether it's orv or global examination or tgcf. Some yaoi brainrot novel i can usually handle but anything complex I don't understand and want to read something else and repeat reply
Probably not helpful to your situation but i didn't like reading before and almost never did unless required. I still did read a few books before that were okay, i found interesting
or were likeable enough but i still didn't like reading itself. It wasn't until i got super obsessed on one story (an adaptation that was originally a book) and just ...... reply
I did when I was younger. Then I changed genres and couldn't stop reading. If it happens to you, no matter the genre you're reading, I recommend getting a library card and taking out a physical book. Sit in a comfortable spot without your phone or any typical distractions nearby, and you should have no trouble staying focused. reply
