Usually the covers would have my curiosity at first. I remember seeing Dreaming of the Dokkaebi cover and I thought I should read it coz it’s beautiful and well redhead. Turned out great. If the cover isn’t appealing I’d at least see the summary/description of the story.   reply

the atmosphere, i mean if the plot holds a lot of importance (i LOVE when stories have a real plot that is at least as important as the romance in bl) and if there's tension between the mc and the ml like there's no romance but still there's something in the way they talk to each other or look at each other or aaagh idk how to say it but im sure yo......   1 reply

For webtoon/manga, it's the cover. For novels, it's the summary or cover (sorry, I'm a simple person). If you're talking about what draws me in and makes me continue after i started initially, then for comics its panelling, visual flow/sequence. Hmm.. I do love an interesting plotline like mythology and folklore based stories but what makes me the most interested has got to be the art style and cover art of the manhwa/manhua because I'm quite picky about the way authors draw the characters, and I figured this out when I first read Shutline and I'm sorry fans of this manhwa but the art styl......   reply

ofc the character design, if it's not my taste then I won't read it ever, one of the reason I actually like reading novels, because I can just imagine what they look like and it'd fit my taste   reply

Cover and title. That is the only I read before committing my body and soul to finishing whatever bullshit crap. Sometimes, I don't even read the title if the cover art is good enough. ⊙᎔⊙ Now go play arknights.   reply
