Alpha pheromones
Is it just me or do alpha pheromones smelling like musk or pine piss me off so much? Like yes they're masculine smells or whatever but they lowkey smell terrible Honestly my ideal alpha smell would be this Bellevue Fern and Rainwater (the candle). It sounds like it has a nature scent tk it but it's pleasant and alluring. It's a mellow scent that feels like a warm blanket with a sweetness that's honestly closer to fragrant tea blends than flowers by itself. It doesn't have that sharp jolt you get when smelling something strong and perfume-like and diffuses into the air naturally.
Anyways, props to the manhwa that have alphas' scent something that isn't pine or musk. I get that it's easier to describe alpha scents using male cologne terms but ugh. I can't even stand near businessmen irl because I despise mens' cologne...
I think pheromones shouldn't have a proper smell at all. they should simply be suggestive of scents and vibes, and maybe shift in quality depending on the situation.
it's kind of hilarious if people in these omegaverse/a/b/o worlds have encyclopedic knowledge of various branded fragrances or even more regular scents (like knowing particular flower...... 2 reply
Hell yeah same, it's used too much & overdone. Where's the originality? Where's the changing it up or differentiating one alpha love interest to another?
Not to mention, like you said, those masculine cologne fragrances are.too much, too strong , not everyone likes them.

Hardcore description of a heavy brain numbing scent written for most alphas is also for me a description of the traits of an alpha.....the pheromones are for attack/defense for other alphas also so to be lighter or ? wouldn't really fit their alpha staus kinda for me.
