Gogol is fairly new to me. If I had to describe him, I'd say that he seems obsessed by that particular moment when ordinary life becomes completely absurd. His bureaucrats, clerks, landowners, social climbers and yada yada yada aren't just funny little disa...... reply

Just completed the mainstory *sobs* and currently reading the side story quite depressed.
The lore of the story is far too vast it even reached outer space. *sobs* reply
Just finished Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros and I'm halfway through Iron Flame! They're a bit cliché in the romance department, but the "miscommunication" trope is well executed and it doesn't last a whole geolocical era and the story is intriguing with a lot of badass narrative arcs.
I'm also reading Babel by R. F. Kuang at the same time as Iron...... reply
