The reality check is that it’s simply not your problem, writing down your concerns actually helps re-organize your thoughts, an alternative thing can be recording yourself speaking out loud about those problems and then proceed to navigate new hobbies that help boost creativity. Something helpful i learned in therapy is when i was having spiraling thoughts or obsessively thinking about something i was stressed or anxious about; recognizing the spiral or unhelpful thoughts and working to refocus on something else. i know this is cliche but talk to someone about it! as someone with crippling anxiety, i feel like telling someone the problem, even if its anonymous and/or online really helps. sometimes i even talk about it out loud with myself 1 reply
Go do something physical. For me, it's cleaning or working out, and maybe while listening to music. Doing something physical allows my mind to do it's thing, but doing it while being physical keeps my mind from becoming too frenetic, because I do have to pay some attention to what I am doing physically.
