Some say that making mulan trans ruined the whole point of the movie and some say that mulan is trans and represent trans people. I just wanna hear y'all opinions about this and wether you do agree or disagree
It's kind of misogynist to think Mulan is trans, you're basically refusing to accept a woman to be as strong as men so you made a headcanon that she is biologically a man in order for her to be strong. I think the reason why people are upset by it is because Mulan is supposed to be a strong willed, brave woman. A woman that went to war to save her own father. A woman that pretended to be a man because woman were not allowed to go to war because they were seen as fragile, weak and soft. Not because she wanted to be a man

Everyone has their opinion so if someone wants to headcanon her as trans i dont see a problem unless they're shoving thst down everybody's throat. I personally don't think she is because she just canonically isn't. And the whole point was that she cross dressed because women were not allowed to look strong and be brave but be housewives that fit in...... reply
