the easiest way to avoid falling for TERF propaganda is to stop taking fearmongering at face value, if something is constantly relying on “think of the children,” cherry-picked anecdotes, or portraying trans people as inherently dangerous, take a step back and actually check the evidence and sources behind it

I cannot resist not chipping in because this is a troubling matter; TERF arguments can entrap you if you don't know what they're talking about. Remember: you can still forge solidarity together as women without having to narrow down what it means, without having to defer to biology. Remember: our enemy is patriarchy, who tries to entrap us all into its reductive binary gender-sex positions! Remember: feminism started out to liberate women (and broadly we can also say men from being the Men under patriarchy) from being reduced to their Sex, their value and livability on the basis of their anatomy parts. You're not doing yourself a favour if you defer to Sex; you're just speedrunning patriarchy's work there.

p/s of a p/s: I'm not saying your body is unimportant; women deserve care for their bodies BUT trying to define women on the basis of anatomy risk undoing all the arguments feminism have long tried to get out from (and this arguably is the barrier that still holds feminism). You're falling onto the same biological essentialism argument that delimits women's worth as a viable subject, the ones patriarchy said women are good for (their vagina, giving birth, maternal so that means they automatically will be mothers etc.)
