Why are supporters becoming trans-phobic

I have seen a lot of discourse and debate online of people who are from the community or just allies who were previously supporters of the entire community, slowly becoming unsupportive towards trans people, especially trans women. Don't bring up the race thing, because I know it's politically advertised to make it look like the trans women have an advantage, it is claimed that they go through rigorous hormone therapy before racing, so it's kinda debunked ig. But why only trans women? I have seen people talk about how people who transition from MtF want to be treated like they are superior to other women. Which I don't think is true necessarily atleast not for all cases, because they are already facing discrimination for being trans. I've also seen one or two bad trans women with predatory behavior, which people use to deem all trans women as predatory.

But what do you think? Because I've seen women from the community who say that they don't support trans-women because they are misogynistic and want to be treated as someone special.

(I'm non-binary myself so I'm not transphobic, I just don't keep in touch with the community so I just wanted to know what's going on)
