Aren't open relationships like cheating with extra steps?
Not talking about polygamy. But people who ask for open relationships, aren't they basically just asking for permission to cheat? Or like do open relationships even work even where both of them come up with it together? Someone please explain, because I cannot comprehend the thought process of people in those relationships.
Cheating is lying, so no. By definition you can't have an open relationship and cheat by having an open relationship. Some people genuinely don't get jealous from their partner sleeping with someone else. Some people feel joy from it. Anyone is free to define fidelity and loyalty for themselves.
