Is Webtoon "money grubbing thieves"?
If I discover there's a manhwa that's free on Webtoon after discovering it on Mangago I will definitely go read it on Webtoon. I think you can also support the author that way. Even if you don't buy coins every week the chapter unlocks and it's free. What's wrong with Webtoon? I don't know if I was being ragebaited or not but a user said any "self respecting manhwa reader doesn't use Webtoon".
I don't use Webtoon at all but that's because there's so many titles I dont find on it that I'd rather use other websites, but the audacity to call yourself a "self respecting manhwa reader" when you pirate the shit out of your favourite authors' work? I can understand why readers would want to boycott naver webtoon. There was a huge controversy surrounding how webtoon tolerates and publishes works that are blatantly misogynistic and also racist. So many readers, especially female readers mass boycotted the platform because of that reason(I think it was around 2024?).
