Translators and their issues
Why do ppl get mad when someone "steal" their translation aka post it on another site???? It’s not like you’re getting paid for translating and you’re posting it on an illegal site, other illegal sites are going to take it I used to translate on a diff site,i stopped since I got busy and generally got bored with it but I never had issue with ppl taking it since I was doing it for fun anyways
or if they buy the official translation and post it then get mad other sites took it.. I mean it’s your money but aren’t u sharing because you want other ppl to read too? So why do u care someone else took it? they even put annoying watermarks all over the story as if it’s their own work I just never understood this.. I was reading a manhwa and the translator was mad ppl are sharing their translation on TikTok they even said they won’t post the next chapter as "punishment " untill those ppl "learn to behave " WHY? You’re not the author bro you’re not getting paid and it’s not your work no??Am I wrong???am I the one being weird here?
Based. I totally agree.
I can see where they're coming from -- when you scanlate something it's hard not to get attached to the series like it's your own work. But it's not.
I see so many people with the attitude of "I'm a benevolent god who's doing you a massive favor" rather than "I'm making this amazing art and story accessible to more people ...... 1 reply
