Does this count as doomed?
I was making oc lore than I thought of adding my own trauma and I wanna make my oc different from typical nerfed ocs so I thought of giving my cute little ocs a happy life (I don't like doomed but I don't hate it either). The story I'm going for is that my oc Nova has a sh addiction which started from his parents being homophobic making him scared of coming out to them as gay and feel disgusted with himself. My other oc,Viktor has a drug addiction. It starts from having an argument with his dad bc his dad Vincent can't accept that he likes a human boy (nova) and doesn't want him to bc he has deep hatred for humans bc of his past trauma. So nova and viktor were secretly dating and trying to heal from their addictions together. I just wanna know if that counts as doomed cuz I don't want it to be.
no, doomed means that something ultimately tears the relationship apart. they are "doomed" to not be together. typically, doomed relationships will end with one or both characters dying. your characters just have trauma and issues. that can make for a dark story, or angst, but its not categorically doomed. reply
