I got blocked for the first time
I got blocked for the first time by one of my close friends. This friend does have a habit of blocking people temporeily when they're upset about something but I've never been on the recieving end of one of these blocks before today. I've looked back through our conversations and can't find anything specific that would've caused the block (most likely is that I said I wanted to play a game they really enjoy but keeep putting it off because I'm busy with school and work). I am upset about this because I am a fairly sensitive person and it bothers me to lose control or permissions that I already had (ex. reactions and dms). My first reaction was to ask a mutual friend about it but I decided against it as it would be invasive. My current plan is to distance myself from the friendgroup for a bit until this particular friend feels better about me. I think it's my best course of action but I'm also just really upset and unsure right now.
I'm really sorry that happened to you, but I think what you're doing is really the best course of action. Look at it this way: they've made it clear they no longer want to communicate with or interact with you, for whatever reason, they've put up a boundary, and you have to respect that. I'd suggest talking to them about it (either in person or when they unblock you). Idk how old y'all are but you're never too old or young to talk it out. Getting blocked just bc you haven't played a game they like is p upsetting tbh and makes me think they need to reevaluate how they treat their friends reply
I honestly don't understand that. Why should you need to block someone just "feel better about them" ? I'm a pretty avoidant person myself , but I've never done shit like that. A habit like that is also not normal at all, they need to be more upfront and at the very least communicate that they're hurt bc of you or hurt bc of whatever. Ghosting or B...... reply
