Was she right about this?
I once came across a TikTok video and
the video was about a mom and her son, who I think was around five years old. They went to a fast-food restaurant and ordered through the drive-through. When it was their turn, the little boy said hi to the employee at the window, and the employee naturally said hi back. But then the boy wanted to keep chatting with him.
Of course, the employee didn’t really have time for that because it was lunchtime, and the restaurant was busy. You know how hard fast-food workers have to work, especially during rush hour. He was just trying to do his job.
However, the mom seemed to get irritated with the employee and said something along the lines of, “My son is talking to you! He wants to chat with you, so you need to talk to him. He has autism!” She then started being rude and bitchy toward the employee, accusing him of being rude and disrespectful for not making more of an effort to talk to her autistic son.
Honestly, the comment section was pretty divided (most with the guy though) Some people thought the employee had done nothing wrong. He had already greeted the boy, responded politely, and remained calm while doing his job. They felt that the mom was being overly dramatic and that the poor guy was probably already stressed enough without being expected to stop and have a conversation during a busy shift.
On the other hand, some people argued that it wouldn’t have taken much time for the employee to chat with the boy for a few seconds, especially since employees often chat with their coworkers while working anyway.
So, what do you guys think? Was the mom justified in acting that way, or was she being unreasonable?
Nah she was being a bitch, people don’t have to interact with your child, yeah it sucks when they ignore them but the employee didn’t they said hi,that should be enough.
Like yes let’s harass a minimum wage worker cos they won’t have a full blown conversation with my child. the entitlement is weird asfff
