People have an obsession with being niche
It's okay to like popular things, some things get popular BEACUSE they're good, its like if you don't have niche taste in music or fashion or just about anything your gonna be called basic The amount of people I've met that get sad about the fact that, something they're into is getting popular beacuse they want it to stay niche, but that's not the point of doing things at all
It's frustrating, and it's only getting more and more common with people feeling like they HAVE to know something before it gets popular, otherwise they aren't a "real fan". Fandom spaces are so toxic now, there's no such thing as being a casual fan anymore, and if you are you get called a "larper" (can we stop using that word?) for not knowing eve...... reply
