How do you guys study
Like genuinely. I used to be a straight A student, head of the student council, head of my sports team and currently, I can barely pass any subject. Every single time I sit down and open a book, I always end up on some other site browsing the internet like I don't have my final day after tomorrow. This is such a struggle. It's not like comics brought about my downfall, because I used to read them earlier as well, but I feel like I can't balance life with them anymore. To those who are actually good at studying, how do you manage to stay off of the various sites you could be using instead of studying? Genuinely tired of my downfall, please help
I'd recommend making your phone inconvenient to access so you don't get tempted by scrolling, like leaving by it in another room. If you need it close for the school work, put it in do not disturb and if you want to be productive while on your phone, download an app to make flashcards. I like Gizmo since the cards get auto-generated with just a pic...... reply
it depends on the subject. if it’s math/math-adjacent, i just do practice problems and move on with my life. if it’s the social sciences or liberal arts, i make summaries of the readings for the key themes, main arguments, and how said arguments were structured. reply
I do pomodoro technique 25mins focus 5 minutes rest
I always think of my ops and old bullies, how they would love to see me fail, how they would love to see me make a mistake during presentations, and think of the future that I wanted.
I study so I won't be stupid and easily manipulated
I study so I won't be insulted, they can say all kinds of ins...... reply
