Anyone here who got into the rabbit hole of these 2?... Man, I rlly thought it was nothing back then. Like everyone was running it like the military, it was very hush hush and that it was just fake. Now that I'm seeing some of the speculations... Idk anymore honestly, would hope for kpop idols to just ditch their insane saesang fans and openly date. And they're like 30+, dude it's fine!!! If it's true, good for them. If it isn't?? That's shocking.
Clocked it ages ago when I was a baby K-Pop fan. You can't convince me that they didn't date. They were and still are the most influential idols of the K-Pop third gen, ain't no way they didn't date each other. But with the Jenkai scandal, where they broke up after 25 days of it being revealed to the public, I think the agencies were a lot more careful this time. K-Pop fans get so para-social, and it was especially bad at that time, with all the hate these idols were getting just for...co-existing. I remember when Taehyung 'accidentally' followed Jennie on Instagram on his official account- dude, the sasaengs went ballistic on Jennie, which is so sad :(
Hopefully, the industry changes and K-Pop idols get the freedom to date whoever they want. I mean, a lot of us were cheering T.O.P on too, but others were like "He can't do it, he doesn't have the permission from his fans". Like my brother in christ. Touch gr*ss .

Anyways, they are dating, and while a lot of us are saying "Finally, unc is 40, he has to get married now", para socialites are saying "no, he cant date, us fans wont allow it".
Jungkook openly smoking did do a pretty good fandom cleanse. but dating would be too much. i mean, Soobin from TXT is involved in some scandal rn where he's apparently in a relationship with another guy, so Chinese netizens are going to put a protest for his removal from TXT by sending funeral wreathes. And TXT is not exactly as big as BTS, so imagine what would happen if one of them decided to openly date? Further, even without the dating stuff, they got death threats. One of the members wore the same shirt as Jimin in order to deflect the person who had threatened to shoot the latter. So yeah. Its fucking crazy.
