Am I too old to listen to a song?
I know, this is going to sound weird, but hear me out. I was talking to this friend of my cousin online because we both love BTS and I super excited to find an army friend and we were talking about our top 5 songs and one of my top 5 is "21st century girl" and then she said that I couldn't like that song, because it's originally made for 21st century girls feel better about themselves, not for 20th century girls. I'm 28 (born is the 20th century), it's written in my bio on the website we were talking. She's 5 younger than me. And, then, I started to feel a bit too old. I mean, I know the BTS guys are older than me, but still, I'm feeling like I don't belong with the fandom, like, I'm not the type of fan they want? I know, it's super stupid, and I'm probably gonna feel dumb when I reread this, but I mean, a song that always made me feel better about myself (I'm a BTS fan for years) is having the completely opposite effect. Is there anyone about my age who still likes BTS and this song? Anyone ever felt like this?
I think it's normal to feel you don't belong to common trend of ppl in the fandom. You can fangirling by yourself or interact with other fans with similar age & culture/country. After all there are many kinds of ppl in fandom, surely there are ppl that vibe with you more [or nicer] than this cousin's friend. Throw a poll in twitter community to see...... 1 reply
