No right or wrong answer btw
Do you perceive other forms of words differently? Like emotionally more warm or cold? Inviting or sarcastic? For example, do you perceive these phrases as different? "Heyy have you eaten yet?" "Hey hv u eaten yet"
Or
"OMG IM SO EXCITED FOR TOMORROW" "omg I'm so excited for tomorrow" "omg im so excited 4 tmrw"
Or
"For sureeee I will revise it immediately" "Fs I'll revise it now"
This was a kinda silly question but this is genuinely one of my assignments..
Do you think maybe it's because Different types of words that are capitalized/abbreviated/elongated, Different context, Depends on the sender's personality n habits, Depends on social group (chronically online, etc.), Depends on "our" relationship (we as in sender and reader)
What are some other unlisted factors do you think affect the way you perceive the sender's intention/emotion?
P.S. I didn't have to do this but I did bc i couldn't sleep and this would be great additional evidence to my language class
To me its mostly about how well i know the person im talking to. If i know them well and know how they talk, then when they text me for example "omg im so excited 4 tmrw" I don’t see it as cold because i know they are in fact excited and the way they text it doesnt matter
I hope you understand what i mean, im not really good with words reply
