Over-hyped BL's
What BLs have y'all read but just didn't get the hype of it like everyone else? Personally I would say Painter of the Night (please don't hate me lol). Like it's really popular and everyone seems hella obsessed with it but idk... I love the art style and Nakyum is adorable, but it's not something that I think is out of this world or as good of a story as it is made out to be. I do admit it's probably partly bc I'm just not into the whole abusive, psychopathic love trope:/
Quite a lot of Korean webtoons for me honestly. I try to save my opinion until after it's finished but then I wonder why it gets dragged on for so long for a very basic and oftentimes annoying plot.
Maybe it's because I got into the genre through Japanese Yaoi though, some of my favorites tend to be >10 chapters after all.
