Maybe this will help. Gender and sexuality are different. You can be cis gender (you identify as the gender you were born as) and straight, gay, bi, Ace, etc;, and you can be transgender or intersex and be straight or gay, Ace, etc. my ex step mom is transgender, male to female and considers herself to be a lesbian. Formals are weird. Like I think they’d be better if it was more relaxed and you could dress up if you wanted.
