Corteo from 91 Days. Granted, he did some dumb things that led to having Angelo kill him, but the plot could’ve gone another way and have him not die. Shirley from Code Geass. I liked her better as a love interest that Kallen or CC. I know there’s others, but I can’t think of who right now, only Corteo came to mind.   reply

I fell like there was more of a power imbalance going on. Basically, it was usually the bigger guy and the smaller guy. Nowadays, you have a lot of BL where both characters are build similarly, and there also a bit of defying expectations where the smaller guy is the top.
