You don’t have to get married, and not getting married doesn’t mean you’ll be alone! And I know a lot of successful and happy people who share your sentiment about partners. My aunt for example has a good job and “big” house (for a single woman anyway) but she just instead uses that space and spare money to do things for her family and fr......   reply

I’m not trying to imply you’re wrong for disliking it, but I think that’s just what being college acquaintances is. At least, that’s the basic strat at my university. I really, really like it, because: 1) you get chummy FAST, I never learned to navigate the slow burn of starting new friendships so this is my natural inclination 2) if you w......   reply

Not exactly a superstition, but if I saw a scary vid or something and can’t fall asleep, I play bossa nova. Can you imagine getting attacked by an Alternate or a murderer while smooth elevator music is playing? I can’t, they’d be too busy grooving to kill me. Irrational problems require irrational solutions.   reply

Not something I did, but I’m gonna rant anyway But uhh my sister’s read through my diary like. 3 times. Maybe 4. Plus that one time she went through my phone? But those are just the times she OPENLY did it, I’m pretty sure there have been way more. Literally since I was a kid she would randomly walk into my room, grab my sketchbook, journal,......   reply

I thought it was “Mr. Capgras Encounters a Secondhand Vanity: Tulpamancer's Prosopagnosia / Pareidolia (As Direct Result of Trauma to the Fusiform Gyrus)” by Will Wood and the Tapeworms, BUT I checked and it was actually “Prisencolinensinainciusol” by Adriano Celentano, idk which title is funnier   1 reply

No offense taken! It really depends. Different states, areas, and schools have different requirements. And I switched schools a lot so it’s hard to remember what the heck I did. I think I was usually taking 5-7 classes a semester in HS. Here’s what California requires (isnt where I live): https://www.cde.ca.gov/ci/gs/hs/hsgrmin.asp And for geo......   reply

I used to be scared as a little kid that my parents would die or get killed while I was sleeping. My mom used to cuddle with me every night before I went to bed, and I’d try to lock/ trap her in my room so she couldn’t leave me. I think she thought I was just playing a game bc I never told her why. I got over it eventually, but I don’t know w......   1 reply

Hi! I used to sew dresses for competitions and I’m helping a few friends with projects. I’d recommend learning with a sewing machine for sure. You will need to know how to hand stitch certain things, and I like to throw together little dresses for my stuffed animals as mock-ups for bigger ones with hand stitching. I’d start out by making a pi......   reply

Avoiding gluten and dairy helps me. I have other solutions but I’d sound like a perverted old man selling pseudoscience if I tell you those without explaining in detail, and I don’t got time for that rn   reply

Nope. You’re allowed to dislike specific things so long as you don’t hate or judge the people group that made them and you’re respectful about it. And it seems like you’re being respectful about it so it’s all good.   reply

I don’t know that much about PCOS specifically, but I have a disorder that leaves me with a lot of scars and discolored skin. As much as I loathe to admit it (I HATE SKINCARE SM) the best things you can do are, in order of importance: 1) start using sunscreen!!! Sun damage is cumulative and your skin ain’t getting any lighter without it! I real......   reply

I spent some time there when I was younger but it was on the island of Okinawa which is very very Americanized (there’s like 28 American military bases on this tiny 881 square mile island) It’s kinda like Hawaii but for Japan.
