People won't notice them nearly as much as you think they will / as much as you notice them. And they will fade over time. And most people have the decency to not mention them even if they notice it. Just act overly nice and cooperative all the time. I've hated plenty of my coworkers and we got along great at work anyway because I was soooooo nice and agreeable (minus the fact that I was beating them to death in my imagination for several hours of every day).
