Hurt/comfort stories of any kind :))) It could be romance, family centered or anything else, as long as the main character has some sort of trauma (or is for example sickly/terminally ill) and the people that care about them help them heal. I haven't played otomes/dating sims in a while so idk about the latest ones, but one thing I remember always wishing for everytime and almost never finding is: mature love interests. I would say RIGHT NOW, mostly because of BL novels (on Ridibo*ks) rather than manhwa/ga/hua: poly endings are becoming increasingly popular both in BL and in josei and I'M SO HERE FOR IT!! New polys come out basically every month in Korea. No more second-lead-syndrome due to love triangles, I see it as an absolute win!   2 reply

I agree that the comments on b@to (under BLs) are mostly cringe. I do have a lot of fun reading them though I do however find it annoying when commenters are blindly horny for red flag male leads when there are important issues to address more than them being hot (usually them being abusive towards the mc). Not just a main character with a doting family that we see once every 50 chapters, one of those that are focused on the family bonds and the child mc finding happiness.
