depiction doesn't equal endorsement, but the choices made in depicting things matters to how it lands. also going to add: impact vs intent. sometimes people mean well, or don't have malicious intentions for whatever they're trying to communicate. doesn't mean they can't cause insult or harm, and the response to feedback is often telling.   reply

what would be really interesting is omegaverse that was more biologically grounded. pheromones for communication and getting away from the gender/sex essentialism by throwing in the messiness and complexity of real life biology (lots of things aren't strictly binary, things can be ambiguous or a mix etc). stuff like that.   1 reply
