just go on your own, this is just one of those times. bring something with you like a charm, gemstone (you can hold in your palm) or wear jewelry that can remind you to stay calm and focused. if you are allowed, write an outline on flashcards and use them while speaking. i think it is really fair your teacher is letting you speak one on one instead......   2 reply

Agree with the Ghibli reccs, tho not recent, like Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle if it is a movie. I haven't seen Belle yet so I can't speak to the type of story but the animation is gorgeous. i've heard this from other parents, who swear it helped and changed their life. it's that container where you put soiled diapers in and it keeps the odor under control until disposal (i think they have one for reuseables too). she would definitely appreciate it! also, you can't go wrong buying books of classic stories, like Guess How Much I Love ......   reply

i can get pretty anxious and i was having side ab pains myself. i found walking outside or using the treadmill for 24 mins a day helped A LOT. and the ab pains have subsided for the most part unless i get super stressed. also drinking more water helps a lot as well. i know this one sounds simple but it can help with the tummy n headaches possibly. ......   2 reply

it would be good to do an activity together that you're both interested in? that way convo would flow naturally. i personally hate small talk myself so i would ask some deeper questions to get to know someone... for example like what do you get excited about? or ask what they would do in certain scenarios... this latter one you'd be surprised what......   1 reply
