I feel like maybe with novel you can imagine it however you like, and with how you try to visualize it, it helps you understand things better. But manga already has visualization so it kinda restrict(?) your imagination and while you may think "Ohhh I get it!" for a moment, the next second you realize you didn't understand it at all.   reply

Depends tbh, official chapters tend to translate everything including things like "hyung"/"gege", and sometimes they also westernized the characters' names which I find unpleasant.
