It's definitely BS and part of it is because people who make any amount of money are considered employed in calculating this statistic. Spend a few hours a week driving for doordash or something similar? You're employed. Do freelance commissions occasionally? You're self-employed. The Murderbot Diaries series by Martha Wells. The first book is called All Systems Red. It's scifi and very funny. Also would recommend the Discworld series by Terry Pratchett. You don't need to read it in order or anything. My personal favorite is Monstrous Regiment but I think Mort is a decent starting point to get to know the world.   reply
