The way some of these characters position themselves to show the camera aka viewers the best shot of the penetration is indeed weird. Story has a plot outside of romance between the main characters. Characters need to have motivations/goals beyond wanting to get together with each other. Pacing needs to flow naturally throughout the story. NO UNNECESSARY RAPE/SA. I think it's just easier to draw hot people having sex than to create a meaningful storyline. Many consumers are more drawn to the smut, authors just create to follow the trends.
