Tbh...its not a modern yaoi problem. Old yaois are shit like that also. The art has evolved, the world has evolved but the writing never did. As a new bl reader you tend to just read with the flow and ignore the red flags coz the author just merge it with the "pleasure". Its so foking annoying.
