I'm not a gay man, I am a lesbian though, (yes I read yaoi. also yuri and straight romance) I think that as long as you understand humans don't actually function like they are portrayed in yaoi/yuri/manga in general, then who gives a shit. i agree with this statement. yaoi is full of harmfull heteronormative and toxic content. people need to be more aware that romantiscing rape and peodophillia in yaoi is horrid and needs to be removed. theres also an issue of colourism and that so many yaoi comics are so straight, as if the writer just replaced a shoujo lead with a boy, and didnt ch......   reply

i hate it when there are fixed sex roles. its not realistic a realistic couple would take turns, and in fact its hotter than fixed roles. i also really dislike it when the bottom is feminine, girly and does nothing during sex but lie there. and when the top is masculine and emotionally constipated. its too heteronormative.   3 reply

SO many things can be changed, too much in fact for me to think of all on the spot so here's a few: -Normalizing rape tropes by romanticizing them or glossing that shit over.
