Im a female in my mid..closer to late 20's whom apparently looks like a child. Its annoying in the work world but hmm. I work in the medical feild, nope not as fancy as you think. I might go back to doing behaviour tech, enjoyed that didnt i. That said i love psychological anime/mangas. Spread yaoi on that and wow.
I do prefer shounen Ai rather tha...... 1 reply
I’m pretty sure I was in about fifth grade when I found Yaoi (I’m in 7th grade now), but I’m pretty sure only around the beginning of 6th grade did I find the “detailed scenes”. At first, I was kind of confused because I never really thought about guys doing it before, but the more I read the more I became used to it lol. Now, it’s just...... 1 reply
Virginity isn't something I care about, tbh I wanna have lots of slutty sex but I guess I'm too awkward or don't know how to go about it, all this yaoi manga there are slutty boys but HOW DO THEY MEET PEOPLE?!?! also I unfortunately have high standers and put the word "awkward" to shame 2 reply
I actually didn't get into yaoi until college as a bit of a bonding experience with a friend with benefits who also got me back into anime, so I had plenty of time with regular porn and actual banging before reading these became a bit of a guilty pleasure passtime. But I'd have to say my initial reaction was a generous mixture of aww and NOICE. reply
Russian-Korean, currently living in Moscow but moving soon (for uni). I'm 18 and started reading yaoi around a year ago, so I was 17. It's funny bc my love for yaoi started with doujinshi, but now I don't particularly like doujinshi and very rarely read it. I'm female and straight, and seriously don't understand my love for yaoi ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭...... 2 reply

Personally, I think both forms of BL have pluses and minuses.
For webcomics, something I appreciate is how easy it is to read the stories legally, and for a reasonable price. I also enjoy how they're usually colored. But a downside I've noticed is that a lot of times, plot is sacrificed for art. For example, whenever there is a smutty chapter, ...... reply
Almost all the BL that I think are good is Korean webcomics cuz they usually are wayyyy less trope-y and imo, better written cuz they tend to be longer. Tbh my taste is v different in general, I am not a fan of the many popular yaoi or webcomics. Also I don’t think banana fish is BL. It’s just a story that features a gay relationship. Same for ...... reply
BL mangas are usually short, for easy and quick satisfaction for the readers, whereas with manhwa, you have to take the time to sit down and read, aka more plot. There are definitely quality webcomics out there which I absolutely adore but being the younger sibling of the two, with every good manhwa on display, there could be many times more good m...... reply
when this kind of question pops up my answer would always be manhwas/manhuas/webcomics and my reason would always be the same: realistic characterization, diverse and unrushed plotlines (most of them atleast since they're always more than 20 chapters), and it's overall refreshing? i think there are of course others that didn't rlly hit me (window b...... reply

whoa what the heck ya'll started reading so early! I only started reading like a year, honestly don't remember. I was most likely 17. It started with shipping boys from anime in a very innocent way, then when I was searching photos of the characters some doujinshi came up...
