For the sake of being realistic, no manga that is too explicit would become an anime ever. It would have too much censorship, and the story would lose a lot of what makes it amazing in the first place. So, with that in mind, I think stories that rely on plot and emotions to convey the romance would do better.

I'd give literally anything for an anime adaptation (or at the very least an OVA) of Ten Count. Unfortunately that'll never happen because of Japan becoming more strict when it comes to their censorship laws in recent years, and making it virtually impossible to see a BL anime completely uncensored. LOL, Manga - which is a more recent endeavor of mine - I can't remember which one was the first (I can remember the last time I ate a mango, though...).
