Manga bc there's a bigger selection to choose from. But I also really like manhwa because it's usually in color, is longer, and typically the stories are more thought out. My only gripe about manhwa is that it's hard to find a really good shounen ai one. Even Line webtoon doesn't have any, despite having shoujo ai. reply
For me it's not really a fair comparison. There's so much more manga available than manhwa. I've read over 1000 manga but only a couple dozen manhwa. The manhwa I've read have been good, but because I've read much more good manga I have to choose manga. There is one thing that annoys me about manhwa, though. I think I mainly have the same reasons as most of us. I'm a girl and it's more comfortable to read about love between boys since I can't imagine it happening to me at all. I have some straight OTPs and I really enjoy reading YA novels and fantasy books for example but yaoi was always different in a way for me. It's like reading yaoi is my safe plac...... reply
i'm a sex-repulsed asexual, so honestly speaking, i tend to hate the sex scenes in yaoi the most lol. i prefer shounen ai, but i read more yaoi just because it's easier to find good yaoi works with nice art.
