BL. I was recently reading something and suddenly realised that I haven't really read any new BL in over a year. I basically look at a few pictures, click off, then read a few comments, and repeat. Which doesn't really count as reading. I'm sure I'll find interest in it again someday, but for now I'm happy reading other genres or rereading the BLs ...... reply

Manhwa in general if im being honest. Yaoi doesnt make me excited to read like it once did when i was younger: the connections between the characters are shallow and dive into smut before any real connection is made, its hard to find good historical nobility stories when the genre is built on repetitiveness and overused cliches, and any action stor...... reply
It’s not only the fault of the artists and writers, people now days give more hype to slop manwha than actually interesting ones. Old manga and manwha had very unique concept and lore but now everything is a reheated version of other story. reply
I think it's just easier to draw hot people having sex than to create a meaningful storyline. Many consumers are more drawn to the smut, authors just create to follow the trends.
An example of this are short story manhwas I've seen popping up in increasing numbers. Most short manhwa I've read are poorly paced and poorly written and full of smut, ...... reply

Depends tbh, official chapters tend to translate everything including things like "hyung"/"gege", and sometimes they also westernized the characters' names which I find unpleasant. Fan translation are usually less tense/formal (in my language at least, they make the conversation sounds formal which is weird since no one talks like that to their fri...... reply

Honestly manwha and mangas are becoming shittier each year I feel like every character looks the same has no real life struggles and when the they do it’s like super unrealistic I’m so tired of the whole „I’m different then others“ trope but then they look like every other character and have nothing that makes them stick out because authors care to much about making their characters look above average ╥﹏╥
