I've got a lip ring. I got it when I was 16? 17? and just haven't bothered to take it out. It's alright.

I got my upper ears pierced. I had trouble sleeping and had horrid migraines. Took it out, cartilage takes longer to heal. Never again!

I did have piercings as a child but as I grow older, metals make my earlobes itch.... so I stopped wearing anything for my ears.....

My lobes are pierced (20 years ago) but they get infected *really* easily, so I never bothered with any others. Too much hassle and pain.
