Comments of Kayashimashi no Yuuga na Seikatsu

The story is really cute! I wish it will go on forever! Just reading about their daily lives is cute enough! (^o^)//

i want to say, the characters are cute but the story line is too erratic and feels as if it is rushed. the story goes back and forth, it feels like i'm skimming a story book or reading some random summary of the story..

every time i read this manga it feels so new. There is nothing not to love about this manga- it has a passionate uke who doesn't show his feelings on his face but with his action. You can tell that he really loves the gardener. It also has a hot worldly seme that seems unaffected by the uke. Again there is nothing not to love about this manga now i really want to read the novel

This is a long read. They talk a lot with a lot of detail which is better than those short shallow stories. Got bored in some places but It all ended nicely.

After reading the first chapter I was about to give up on this. From the plot description I thought that this was going to be about the relationship between Sumito Kayashima and his companion/secretary Koizumi until it seemed like Sumito was just going to use him to get to the person he really want an unnamed gardener. Sumito is very expressionless and calm so it's hard to figure out what he is thinking so I was thinking that there would be some reason as to why he was like that. He lost his parents when he was really young and gain more money than he would ever need so in a sense although it is never said (just my own scenario) that maybe so many people wanted to use him so he took on this demeanor to hide his thoughts/feeling from others who might want to use him.

This is just a story about the relationship between Sumito and Gardner. I did have an issue as to why the gardener doesn't have a name cause he was an important part of the story and that kinda of took away from it like he was a side piece to the greatness of Sumito so he didn't need a name. Despite that I was enjoying the progress of their relationship and I was beginning to understand Sumito more. In my mind not knowing who to trust made him confine himself because he did go to college so he can't be that naive as to how the world works. He seems more content as to who he is and what he wants without all the pretentiousness we sometimes adapt around others.

Gardener got a law degree but it is never explain why if he was just going to quit to be a gardener. Not there is anything wrong with that but coming from a regular family that seems like a really expensive endeavor to undertake just to throw away. Gardener begins to really fall in love with Sumito even though he never expected to fall so hard so I was glad when he became frustrated that one day Sumito would leave him first.

Another thing that irked me was when Gardener took Sumito on vacation and they stop by his ex's house. Gardener should have realized that your new partner might not feel comfortable staying in your ex's home when that was the one to ditch/dump you. Then Gardener and Shingo get overheard by Sumito flirting or whatever. Shinto wants to know what Sumito has that none of Gardener's ex's have that causes him to love/date him and if he's better in bed than him. Gardener says no way and are you feeling pent up cause your not getting what you need to which Shino says if I say no will you sneak into my bed tonight. I'm like what the hell but Sumito walks off so we don't get to hear the rest. Sumito was being to passive then if he didn't want to confront them then he damn well should have in their room. This really put me in a bad mood because I thought that I had escaped all of the yaoi manga that have the couple's cheating and demeaning each other but I persisted and continued reading. I am happy that I did because even though they don't address that converstation Sumito does manage to ask Gardener why they didn't work out. Gardener says it was because their hearts didn't connect and that even though he fooled around a lot he hasn't been with anyone but Sumito since they got together.

Their story continues on with a few bumps but no drama. When Gardener went home and Sumito just shows up he is upset but he quickly gets over it. Then Gardeners is wondering if he should really introduce Sumito to his family as his lover but decides not to at this time although the sister realizes. It seemed like she didn't want to really know so that made me really want to see what the family would do or say when he tells them. We will have to keep on waiting because that issue is not addressed. The story ends with the couple still being in love and not planning to leave one another for the rest of their lives. Gardener also gives Sumito a ring and that speaks volumes.

The story was pretty good, specially the concept. But somehow I felt lack of conflict. The story was so peaceful to the point I felt nothing and wondering why the story still continued. Still, I read it till the end. I think this happened because the original works were novels. Maybe I can understand better of their real conflicts if I read the novels too.

Complete Vol 3 Ch 17

The only reason I read the whole thing was because of how sincerely Kayashima loved the Gardener-kun otherwise their relationship was very wobbly because they didn't communicate their feelings across each other. It was a bit annoying to watch as a bystander/reader but I guess they were still cute with each other so no problemo from me ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I went into this read a little sceptical. After all, the cover didn’t give much away, nor the synopsis. It well and truly dragged me into the story and I can definitely say it’s a great plot with beautiful art and characters to go with it. Truly happy with it. Highly recommend.
