Comments of Me o Tojite 3-Byou

Two boys are best friends in high school, both secretly in love with each other but afraid to make a move. Then one boy has to transfer to another school and they lose touch with each other for 4 years. When they reunite they discover nothing has changed and they can’t keep everything inside anymore. For once, I really couldn’t tell who was going to be the uke. While the plot wasn’t too original, the art style was great, the close ups on beautifully emotional faces were just gorgeous. Outstandingly so.

the art style was a bit too unproportional for me. The plot was nice, though I didn't quite like the time skip either. It didn't seem to have another function for the plot other than to separate them, so they could prove how much they liked each other, since they were still young at the time? Not so sure about this. And his dad really irritated me, all he did in the manga was to trouble manabu in the most outrageous ways.

I actually like the phasing, it isn't your typical "i-confess-so-you-better-do-something-about-it" kinda phasing. I like the time skip - it gave the MCs time to mature and reconsider their feelings.

This story made me feel depressed, not because it’s sad or because it’s bad or because it’s good, it just made me feel really lonely

It's a mess. From the feelings to the overthinking silence. Hiroto is selfish and egoistic in my point of view. However, he speaks his mind when he blows off. Meanwhile, Chiba is just pitiful and sort of pathetic. 4 years after and he doesnt talk it out, he just "proves it with his body". Ew. There is not much action here, it's just two idiots overthinking until someone blows up and everything just propels rashly. It also ended prematurely in a way that even as "adults", the don't talk it out and just overthink and overthink as if they didn't learn from their mistakes 4yrs ago. 4 years is long but it must be the change in POV that left Chiba stagnant while Hiroto showed some growth in making sure that Chiba doesn't leave him or something.

Miscommunication is really the problem in relationships ugh. But thank goodness that they still end up in the end.
