The story I really liked, but that last chapter was enough for me to give this a one-star. The ending of the story completely contradicted with the whole message this story was trying to give you, which is to live on and find happiness. It's so sad too since I really liked the story and the ending just makes me want to scream.
I think i’m gonna have to disagree with the people saying this manga was ruined because of the ending. I think it suits that everything just disappears. Cause in the end, human desire is one of the strongest points in this manga, and I think it’s a suitable end that humanity’s fall was due to humans desire. It’s meant to be bittersweet, this manga was never meant to be some sort of shounen manga that ends up with everything fine. In a sense, everything did end pretty good at least for the characters.
It had a really strong start and an interesting premise but the ending was bullshit. The kid realized that life on earth sucked, and as God, he had the power to fix it, but he chose not to for some reason? He didn't even make the choice to end all life on Earth, he killed himself thinking that there would be no effect on humans so even the gravity of that outcome felt unearned. Not to mention how aspects of the ending felt retconned. He gave up on what he wanted to do as God because he didn't have a big enough perspective(??) as a human and God was able to die because his human personality was strong-willed enough(??) and that delayed the fusion????? Honestly, it felt like the author got bored or depressed and just gave up on the ending. I've seen very few endings as irritating as this one.
give it a read mc might come as annoying for some of you but it's pretty understandable that it's hard to accept things that are hard to believe suddenly happen to you. for me i think he's the most realistic mc ive seen so far due to him wanting to die but then wanting to live after finding his one and only reason to keep on living
I LOVED THE PLOT AT FIRST but then that last chapter just knocked it all off i couldnt take it how it all literally ended right then there that it made me rate it as 2 stars the only reason im not rating it as a 1 star was because the plot was really interesting and i hated how it ended.
