Aside from being creepy, the story gets all the more wholesome because of their friendship. These days, I can't tell if you'll ever find some real friends who can accompany you at a gravesite in the dead of night.
My hot guess about the ending is that the village probably did sacrificial rituals. The last to be sacrificed was supposed to be the ghost’s little sister, but he disguised as her and took her place. Seeing as he is rope-bound to the grave, surrounded by the more sinister looking villagers, his sacrifice destroyed the village since they sacrificed the wrong person. So now the village remain as vengeful spirits chaining him, while he himself is a non-hostile ghost who simply continues to take the punishment even after death. While they chain him, he also acts as a chain ensuring their hatred is directed towards himself instead of the living. This is just my imagination of the situation tho
"The village was abandoned after a memorial service from a man-made disaster."
Is the memorial service a sacrificial ritual? I guess, the ghost is the one who did the 'man-made disaster '. He probably crossdress to be sacrificed? Idk actually but wtv it is, it's interesting.
i thought it was gon be a wholesome oneshot, its actually quite creepy esp. the end. horrible eyesight dude said ghost have a kind face, im sure hes the one guarding that barrier so those evil spirits cant cross or escape. its too short tho, this needs more chaps
Kinda confused at the ending, but I think the ghost is some kinda guardian who's keeping the dead villagers back from causing chaos (because the ghost villagers in the last panel look hella sinister) Guardian ghost is sacrificing himself by acting as the chains to bind the evil ghosts, and he told the high schoolers not to come back in case the evil ghosts attach themselves onto the boys.
I wish there was at least one more chapter to explain what the heck is going on though...
