this is the most heart wrenching yet heartfelt story I've ever read the fact it was written from the author's actual experiences only proves to strengthen that fact I felt such a connection with the author's story and occasionally had to close my phone to take a moment and reminisce over my own memories whenever I found myself relating to a certain scene seriously, I haven't cried this hard reading something in ages. I genuiley gave up on the thought of marriage due to my sexuality, it just never occurred to me that that could be something I was allowed to experience; like it was an exclusive experience to straight people. Watching the author go through similar struggles though and in the end still obtain his dream of marriage really made me hopeful. Beautiful story, would recommend this a thousand times over, it's worth the read
04 APRIL 2024: based on real life essay written by a gay activist in japan Ryousuke. It was very good highlighting his journey into finding himself and the love of his life. :)
I believe this is a real story? Or an essay from a biography? Not sure, but it’s beautiful and sad story. Ryonosuke struggling with his identity and finally accepting who he was all the way until when he met his now husband. I loved how it was real, showing it wasn’t the first person, or second person, or h th it’s person.. he knew his values and that didn’t stop him even when he had obstacles, he overcame them.
What a ride. I wanna say my thanks to the author and the artist that make the story so much more beautiful. Thanks a lot for giving me a new perspective and remind me of how life should be.
Based on an essay written by a Japanese Gay activist, this explores the reality of what it’s like to be gay in Japan. Very realistic but sweet. There is an SA scene but it’s brief and has a purpose. Please give it a shot.
Still healing from my own bad experiences with love and just cried my eyes out to this manga waaaa it’s so gooddddd! I honestly really appreciate such real work on real life experiences, no saturation for drama, just plain bitter sweet truth!
Knowing a story happened in real life made all the pain and happiness too real for the readers. I hope that equality can be achieved for all kinds of minority groups so that they can live openly and happily.
