place that revolves around witches and curses. nobles that have led the witch hunt and exterminated every witch possible led by spencer grimmaldi, whose wife later gave birth to a pair of twins. twins who are usually born with a curse.

adrian was frail while adrina was more robust, despite the household much preferring adrian and treating him with love and care as opposed to adrina who was only ill treated and neglected due to adrian being the grimmaldi heir, the twins had a good relationship. adrian later fell ill and passed away. we do not know if it was the curse.

spencer who does not grieve, ruthless as he is, simply cuts adrina's long hair and starts calling her "adrian" instead. from that point onwards, adrina took adrian's place, the world only knew of "adrina's death" and adrian, the rightful heir, still alive. Adrina knew she would soon be killed by her father, the count, as soon as her usefulness had expired.

cut to the duke julius, who is 26 years old, with the body of a 13 year old boy. he had stopped growing when he turned 13 as a result of a curse out on by his own mother, a witch, mistress to the former duke. sometimes, she explained it was to protect julius, sometimes she stated it was because she hated him. the former duke had married another woman introduced by his brother, the king, while hiding his mistress, the witch.

as the story progresses, adrina, now earning the reputation of "pasela's mad dog" is shifted to the 2nd knight's order, who mostly escort and protect the nobles, is ordered to protect duke julius on his visit.

the duke had been told by a witch, the last witch remaining, that the curse could be broken by a true love's kiss. The duke did not believe it.

cut to the scene where an assasin is killed by adrina on night duty with julius and ends up getting poisoned. as she is fed the antidote, she is delirious, ends up crying for "adi" nickname for adrian, and mumbles she will protect "adi". the duke understands she is calling out to "adrina", as the duke tries to leaves, adrina pulls the duke by her hand and asks him to not leave, still dreaming it is adrian, and kisses the back of the duke's hand. the next morning, the duke had outgrown his body to that of an adult. they end up making a deal that adrina will be kissing julius everyday until the curse breaks. it only happens on occasion and not every kiss.

the relationship progresses. Adrina is soon going to be taken back home by her father, the count and she knows he is going to soon kill her. The duke is slowly catching feelings whilst simultaneously wishing it was "adrina" instead of "adrian" because being with a male complicates the relationship. Adrina is desperate and wonders if she should seek for the crown prince's help instead. the duke catches it and asks adrina to use him instead.

"Seduce me. I might just fall for it"
Tells her he'll grant a wish for every kiss they share.

in the recent chapters, he is just realising that the adrian in front of him is not adrian but adrina instead
