great story, extremely rushed ending... alas
fashion and aesthetics are great, story is fun and campy
"It's shocking enough that the daughter of a pastor is possessed by a ghost, but what's more shocking is that this ghost is a young oppa who sports a fashion that surpasses most of the outstanding looks of bachelors and rockers! From this day on, Zion's life changes forever. From a shy and unsuspecting high school student, she turns into an exorcist."
beautiful art, fun storyline, some very funny gags, that sad adult undercurrent that gets ya...
"Momoko, who dreams of becoming an illustrator, finds employment in an ultra fast-paced office that specializes in designing pachinko parlors!! With the office running a yazuka-like business and employing a designer, who has a habit of suddenly stripping in the middle of the night, Momoko believes that the company employees are a bit... no, definitely eccentric!"
i read this in highschool and thought it was pretty great at the time, boy does it hit different to read as an adult
"Fed-up with a life of being under-appreciated and disrespected, Sumire Iwaya decides to change things when she picks up a young boy off the street and brings him into her house. Despite being total opposites, the two seem to complement one another as they try to carve out an ordinary life for themselves. "
this is HIGH camp and the live-action totally fulfills the feel of the story too
the premise is so silly. you cannot take this to heart. have a good time with it
"Sunako Nakahara, the agoraphobic, horror-movie-loving, pockmark-faced, frizzy-haired, fashion-illiterate recluse who tends to break into explosive nosebleeds whenever she sees anyone attractive, is sent to her aunt's mansion filled with gorgeous looking boys."
I haven't re-read this, but I remember it being SO fun. Like yes girl!! Go!!
"Yaya’s high school friends haven’t been very nice. They call her “Yaya the cry-ya! Yaya the misfi-ya!” This all changes when her alter ego appears..."
i love this for how authentically it represents being a highschooler getting pulled into the world of adults. plus, the fashion is so fun and gorgeous.
(only dumbasses ship george and yukari smh)
"Yukari suddenly finds herself flung into the roller-coaster life of the fashion world, guided by George, art-snob extraordinaire. In a glamorous makeover of body, mind and soul, she is turned from a hapless bookworm into her friends own exclusive clothing model."
classic shoujo with a tsundere ml. only minor toxic vibes which is honestly high praise for a straight shoujo
"The favourite committee member, Chihiro. The problem child who always skip, Kisaragi-kun gets himself involved by the teacher, and the relationship changes..!! Chihiro was very troubled by the ill mouth and uncooperative Kisaragi, but...!?"
This story was so fun and I loved her character!! -1 for having a highschool student get with a teacher but its handled pretty well
anime is trash tho
"Yamaguchi Kumiko is the granddaughter of a yakuza boss who would rather become a high school teacher than continue the family tradition. The principal lets her teach on the condition that her students don't find out her background, otherwise parents will be in an uproar. Her class 2-D, is filled with delinquents, but she won't give up on them."
omfdfadf i was obsessed with this in middle school
listen its fuckin stupid as hell and maybe i just related because im super tall but who cares fuck u
"Risa Koizumi is the tallest girl in class, and the last thing she wants is the humiliation of standing next to Atsushi Otani, the shortest guy. Fate and the whole school have other ideas, and the two find themselves cast as the unwilling stars of a bizarre romantic comedy duo."
oneshot chapters that are all honestly very good
"A series of romantic short stories drawn by Sahara Mizu and inspired by the music of the Japanese band Sukima Switch. Each chapter is inspired by a different song"
