Seme is a generally terrible person. Uses his power to force the uke into a situation he can't escape from. Tries to steal the kid. Stalks them and shows up where they are, intruding and telling them how to live.
Reading this played for laughs made me sick to my stomach. The only thing this has going for it is the art.
Rape and forcible intrusion on the omegas life.
Too much entitlement from the person with unrequited feelings. He puts way too much pressure on the other person.
Good concept wasted with unappealing art and an author who doesn't know how to write.
Tries to distract from its gigantic flaws with pop-y art and overdone reactions, but lacks the charm to pull it off.
Bad and boring BDSM manga.
Unhealthy sub.
Tries to be cute and funny and is very far from both.
The plot is just...so incredibly bad. Choppy af and weak even without that.
The artist tells you outright how they want you to think of the characters and tone because they are incapable of evoking that feeling.
There's a lot of bad writing out there, so I can't rank this. This is bad, bad writing. Bad characterization. Bad tone. Bad pacing. It's just really, really bad.
This is not a feel-good manga no matter what the author tells you.
On my shit list for a very short part equivocating homosexuality with sexual assault.
It wasn't a part of the world-building, it was very clearly the author's view on homosexuality coming through. This manga is a great example of how, despite what people try to say about BL, it's usually the het community that's hiding the homophobes. Not just the author, but the readers as well.
Was great until suddenly Param started leading on Hwi and banging the douche.
Made this list because I hate how Param knew how Hwi felt, led him on, then banged someone who had hard evidence was a piece of shit. He's wishy-washy af and it's really annoying.
I have no fucking clue why this was recced as being an example of a strong uke manga.
The uke in this is a very basic bitch with no interesting personality traits. The seme rapes him. It's not necessary. And it's excused.
The art is great. But everything else is terrible. They tried to use popular aspects of other, better manga and include them, but they're not very smart. So you end up with characters that fall flat, a plot that is choppy and poorly balanced, and jarring moments where you're like 'but wait, that makes no sense' and have to just accept it if you want to get anywhere.
Whose Baby is it?
