this isn't GL at all but it's a great story about a lesbian and honestly there's only so few of those so..
this one is not exactly a GL manga but it features a very beautiful lesbian couple, whose relationship is one of the most concrete ones in the story.
Bittersweet but very earnest and beautiful story that really resonated with me.
A really wonderful manga that I invite everyone to buy! It's only like 3 volumes!
ok so I love Shimura Takako and all of her work and I love this one and Hourou Musuko soooo much. Highly recommended fluffy high school slice of life romance. It's a real slow burner that's mostly about these two high school girls that are childhood friends and the lives of their friends around them, as all of them navigate growing up and figuring out who they are. Soo good and heartfelt and tender!
ye like I said Shimura Takako is the boss. This I also count as GL for many reasons, but maybe getting into them is a spoiler.
Very similar vibe to Aoi Hana, only here the main characters navigate their feelings around gender more. Some GNC and trans people take issue with it and I think many valid points are made about it, but I'd like to point out that not all experiences are universal and cross-cultural.
(Shimanami Tasogare is definitely a lot more well done in that aspect)
this is a bit k-drama like but it's a very fun read! I cried at the end like an idiot, super sweet and fluffy romance!!! Also I like that one of the characters is a bit more tomboyish, somehow in GL most pairings are between femmes and honestly we need some girls towards the butch end of the spectrum as well!!

probably a new fave, a lusty revenge.. romance?? Very exciting and unpredictable, this author makes great works!

oh god i love it!!! i was worried a bit because I hate when in manga and manhwa being into chubby people is presented as a "fetish" like that's the only way a plus sized person could be attractive, but here it feels more like mc has a "type" and it shows... very well (ehehe)... her attractiveness..ლ(´ڡ`ლ) do u know if there are any official webpages that licence this?? that would be super nice

I don't care as much about yaoi because it doesn't represent who I am... Also yes indeed I am a raccoon that eats garbage when it comes to yaoi even when it's trash I love angry reading but with GL I can't do that cause it hits personally so then I get offended or sad TT___TT
Maybe I came off differently than I hoped I was not trying to bash GL at all! If anything recommendations are more than welcome I desperately need more GL in my life!!! TT__TT I have been trying to get more into them as well and this list is more of a way for me to do this! Totally not a bash towards GL!!
youre so picky when it comes to gl + say theres not a lot, saying that it tends to be bad while liking BL mangas that are utter garbage in terms of writing that romanticizes incest and r-pe. the double standards when it comes to lesbian media is crazy
