So if a shinigami says your name. Your lifespan will reset?

hmm I think it's because his name was the source of him having such a long lifespan, being so incredibly auspicious ^^ therefore the shinigami saying the whole thing all over again had that sort of effect, it renewed his longevity. I'm not sure though~
