I think he doesn't even believe he cheated. He thinks he only got 'swayed' a bit. He admitted he was never going to tell Haemin about the kiss coz it was 'no big deal'.
I agree and if this occurred in real life, i think Tom's mind set is pretty bad to have in a relationship i.e. deciding how your SO will feel about a situation you haven't told them about and going with the flow.

Yup not worth a reread according to me as well. And Tom didn't confess the whole truth right until the end that he kissed back some guy and kinda cheated emotionally (which Jaemin still doesn't know, he thinks Tom was just getting harrassed unilaterally). Jaemin has flaws too, he brings sex into everything but he ended up suffering much because he liked loving and Tom liked getting loved, this imbalanced dynamic ultimately ended up in one party borderline cheating and even taking the liberty to think all on his own that this isn't even something to mention about.
Tom's isn't that much in love with Jaemin in the beginning even though he's the one who confessed first, and it's not just about that one other guy coz he actually contemplated sleep with someone other than the bf(could be anyone). But it'd been just 2 months since they'd met as not only lovers but also acquaintances. It was hasty to move in but that also doesn't mean Tom can just go and do all this behind Jaemin's back coz of that.

I'm just gonna say that your original comment is what I totally agree with even though you don't remember the context. And you mentioned how you hated him for not pushing him away during the kiss, well he does it again and it was a handjob this time(what was Tom doing not pushing him away while that guy put his wet fingers in Tom's mouth? He just kept panting. Is that normal? I'm sorry dunno about that) He never comes clean. Jaemin sucks as in forcing his desires over him sometimes but did he really deserve to get cheated on for that? Also, he's not a violent, abusive or an aggressive person that Tom needs to be afraid of him, the only reason he didn't say the truth is because he cheated, and he's scared that Jaemin will think of him as a cheater(well obviously) but what does Jaemin do when he gets a little idea of the situation? He creates distance between them and eventually takes him back without a word. He didn't even ask to what extent Tom did things behind his back. He was just careful not to mention anything that would remind Tom of the assault, and kept apologising for not giving Tom attention? So Jaemin is treated like the bad guy but he's the one who suffers more imo. And Tom is given free pass for the cheating he did before just because he was assaulted. Well I hope the perpetrator is jailed and tortured but what does Tom do? Feel pity for him and care for him when he's injured. He doesn't stay away from him at all. And just because you went through something traumatic which I feel sorry for, you still ain't absolved of your wrong doings. And Jaemin, I think Tom gave him enough cold shoulder for forcing him in the initial chapters but I hope Jaemin gets just one good beating too to make up( but dude was already sorry for that and did become better ~still got cheating on ╥﹏╥). My biggest ick is still the fact that he'll probably never know the whole truth. Ok enough ranting （￣へ￣）

I totally agree with everything you said! I honestly do think Tom was just thinking about how exciting the whole idea of cheating was that he tried to rationalise his behaviour but he never thought of the consequences that would follow and then chickened out last minute.

Aw thanks . I agree with you too(again). And Jaemin deserves better but Tom cried a whole lot and finally snapped back to reality once things got to a point (after the handjob scene. Well he still didn't come clean tho) so I hope he'll become a better person.( Bruh this is fiction, what am I saying lol.) Anyway Jaemin got the character development he should but can't say the same about Tom. Tom did reflect and regret maybe but he didn't take any action to make things better, one of which would've been telling the whole truth and STAYING AWAY from the cheating partner and his assaulter. I tried reading this but I had to skip most of it where Tom and Haejun talked because it hurt me sooooo much seeing how Tom began to slowly cheat on Jaemin. The rape bit wasn't his fault at all, I actually sympathise with him because he couldn't fight him off because the sleeping pills he took kicked in during that time so he was vulnerable in that situation. The reason I hate Tom though is when he kissed Haejun. Even if it was a forced kiss I'm pretty sure he could have pushed him off but he let it happen and what's worse is that he never told Jaemin. He had so many chances to break it off and come clean but he just let it escalate and I hate how he thought that even though he cheated on Jaemin, he would just ignore it and forgive him. Their relationship is probably one of the worst realistic situation you can be in a relationship. Props to the author!
